Pomegranate Supermarket Hosts 20 Course Pop Up Dinner

GKRM Publisher Elan Kornblum was in attendance at a top secret Chef's Tasting Menu at Pomegranate Supermarket in Brooklyn. The dinner, cooked by Pomegranate's Head Chef Yitzchok Bernstein, included 20 courses featuring delicacies such as a Tomato Trio, 4 Raw Fish dishes including different types of Tuna, Salmon and Hamachi, Beef Tartar, Smoked Veal, Sous Vide Short Ribs, Roasted Duck Breast and so much more. Pomegrantate is looking to unveil dinners like these for the public in the next few months, Stay tuned for future updates. In addition to tasting these incredible creations, the guests heard Chef Bernstein describe the composition and cooking approach for each dish. 1st course: Almond Ricotta Tart with Huckleberry Tomatoes

2nd Course: Tomato Sorbet with Avocado Mousse

3d Course: Hamachi - Compressed Pineapple, Szechuan Peppercorn

4th Course: Hamachi Belly Tartar- Grilled Avocado Mousse, Passion Yolk

5th Course: Tuna, Passion Fruit Ponzu, Shaved Raddish

6th Course: Ora King Salmon, Pickled Apples, Cucumber, Cucumber Lime Sorbet, Finger Limes

7th Course: Marrow Butter, Wild Greens on Brioche with Honey Comb

8th Course: Chicken Liver Mousse, Pickled Cherries, Coffee "Dirt," Cardamom Leaves

9th Course: Beef Tartar, Crispy Quinoa, Yolk Puree, Pickled Red Onion, Oyster Leaf 

10th Course: Sous Vide Chicken, Corn Puree, Crumbles Corn Bread, Semi-Dried Tomato

11th Course: Roasted Duck Breast, Blueberry Vinegar, Pickled Blueberry, Black Barley, Hibiscus Leaf 

12th Course: Brined and Smoked Veal, Red Pepper Mostarda, Butternut Squash

13th Course:  Lamb Chuck, Charred Eggplant, Freekeh, Black Garlic Tahini

14th Course: Lamb Merguez and Carrot Wellington, Tomato Jam

15th Course: Roasted Crescent of Beef, Onion Confit, Shallot Puree

16th Course: Sous Vide Short Ribs, Beer Glaze, Parsnip/Miso Puree, Goose Fat Braised Turnips

17th Course: 48 Hour Braised Beef Chuck, Red Wine Cabbage Roasted Mushrooms

18th Course: Praline Cannoli with Hazelnut Snow
