STATEN ISLAND
Chopshtix in Staten Island is currently a small Chinese take-out operation but they are currently working on their expansion. They're taking over the space next door and looking to have their grand opening by the 2nd week of December. Chopshtix is planning to reopen as a sit down restaurant with about 30 seats. Chinese and Fried Chicken will stay on the menu in addition to a deli at the back of the restaurant. They will have Shabbos specials as well as deli sandwiches, salads and rotisserie chickens. Their "JFC" fried chicken buckets are a very popular item which will also be a star in the new place. Catering and in house parties will soon be available. Chopshtix is located at 2003 Victory Blvd.

MARYLAND
According to their Facebook page, Blue Star House of BBQ in Maryland closed for business on October 10th. Customers and locals are sad to see the restaurant go. The owners of Blue Star are also the owners of Char Bar in Washington, DC, which will remain open.

FLORIDA
From the people behind Fuego BBQ & Smokehouse and Blaze Tex-Mex come the next dairy restaurant in the Aventura Waterways. Opening soon, Acqua Trattoria will be a dairy, Italian style restaurant. Since Gigi's Cafe has closed, there is no dairy option at the Waterways besides for candy and ice cream. This will provide diners with more options in this hot area (pun intended).
