The decade old Pan Asian Restaurant that has been a mainstay in the 5 Towns is closing soon for renovation. No word yet on how long it will take but it's been a tough couple of years recently for the restaurant. Their world famous 50 foot salt-water fish tank (see above) was destroyed by Hurricane Sandy and while it's going to cost tens of thousands of dollars to get it running again, that will be one of the main focuses of the renovation along with a new, revamped menu. They are also hoping they can finally get that next door space into a party room.
** Meanwhile, we have just learned that an upscale dairy restaurant in the 5 Towns that used to be non kosher has just been taken over by Jewish owners. We will have more details when we are "allowed" to say more.
