Since 1998, Falafel off the Korner has been serving their local neighborhood where customers are more like family. Located on the corner of East 2nd off of Avenue P (hence the name “Falafel Off the Korner”) they are in the center of the Brooklyn Jewish Community and they support their community whether it's Torah learning every Rosh Chodesh or supporting local charities and events. Owner Lior Yohanan and his parents have been able to run such a successful business being that they are from Israel and understand the culture, and high standard the food needs to be.
House favorites are of course their freshly fried Falafel on a warm Pita Bread, with a schmear of Hummus, stuffed with Israeli Salad, and finished off with a Tahini Drizzle. Another recommended dish is the Shawarma on a Baguette. The softness of the fresh Baguette truly compliments the crispy pieces of the freshly made Shawarma. Every sandwich comes with a plate that can be filled up at the salad bar with different Israeli Salads like Fried Eggplant, Israeli Pickles, and Spicy Tomatoes. For those who prefer something on the healthier side, the Grilled or Baby Chicken on a Whole Wheat Pita are great options. Insider tip- Stuff it with Spicy Carrot and Tabouli salad from the salad bar, you won’t be sorry!
Falafel Off the Korner is great for that late night Israeli craving as they are open Sunday through Thursday until 11:00 PM, and Saturday nights until 2:00 AM. They do a large amount of delivery and pickup orders, and off-premises catering is available as well. Remember: any time you are in the area, visit Falafel Off the Korner, it's a little taste of Israel!
