ABOUT Amba Fidi
Since the Summer of 2016, Amba FiDi has been serving Manhattan’s own downtown area with the most flavorful, authentic Middle Eastern Cuisine. Their friendly and cozy 7-seater locale specializes in creating the best Falafel and Schawarma around town. Being that it is located in the heart of the Financial District (FiDi) it is the ideal grab and go lunch or dinner spot.

Owner Leor Yohanan, prides himself on using only the freshest ingredients and local butchers to create delicious and quality dishes. Their spectacular falafel and schawarma, homemade hummus, creamy babaganoush, and signature falafel that incorporates a touch of jalapeno, paired with their astonishingly reasonable prices, keeps their customers running back for more.

Their menu includes sandwiches with a variety of salads, fine cut meats and homemade bread. They are also well known for their warm and hearty soups such as their lentil soup. Their name, Amba, refers to the tangy mango pickle chutney-like condiment popular in Middle Eastern Cuisine and is typically made from mango, vinegar, salt, mustard, turmeric, chili and fenugreek. It tastes great on falafel! Their catering platters are a big hit for any occasion too. Next time you are in the “FiDi” area be sure to check out this little gem.
