ABOUT La Briyut
La Briyut Restaurant in Brooklyn is a restaurant that deserves more recognition and visibility. It's only recently opened, so it's still a newbie that people have not had a chance to try yet but I encourage those that want something a little different than sushi, pizza, pasta, and burgers to check this place out.

The red table cloth restaurant is warm and inviting with an European decor, specializing in in Kavkazi, Middle Eastern and Mediterranean dishes. Prices are reasonable (especially their great lunch specials) and the portions are large. They serve ethnic food such as: herring with chef style potatoes, crepes with red caviar, kharcho soup, kurza, chudu, dolma, plov, chahobili, chicken tabaka, stuffed cabbage and beef stroganoff. but don't worry, they also offer several mixed salads, schintzel, beef, chicken & lamb kebabs, prime rib steak as well as veal and lamb chops.

The place looks like it will be a big hit when more people catch on about it. It has a nice, warm, comfortable look and the food is good and reasonably priced. It's sort of a mix of Kavkazi, Turkish, Middle Eastern cuisine with some Georgian, Bukharian and Russian elements. Lots of grilled meat and European flavors. Yeah, it certainly doesn't feel like Brooklyn in this hidden gem!
