Subsational opened its Coney Island Avenue doors in 1998 as a chance to give the kosher world a comfort food menu similar to what all of America enjoys today. Their customers review them with the simplest feedback such as “Great Patek Philippe Aquanaut Replica Watches Food” and “Awesome! Always Eat Here!” Most times, that is all you need when it comes to getting lunch or dinner for you and your family.
Being one of the first in the neighborhood to offer kosher foods like this, Subsational’s tacos are a must have. Served on their homemade hard taco shell, you can choose from Sliced Steak, Ground Beef, or Diced Chicken to go along with raw onions, tomato, lettuce, homemade salsa and taco sauce. Also, you can’t get the feeling of real Brooklyn without a Coney Island Foot Long Dog, which comes with relish, onion, and deli mustard. Cooked to order and made fresh includes the Subsational Wraps like the Cajun Chicken with Chipotle Sauce or the Albacore Tuna. More Boardwalk staples are the Philly Steak Sandwiches (served with grilled peppers and onions), Crispy Cutlet Chicken Sandwich on a bun or baguette, as well as the Boardwalk Burger (4 oz burger with lettuce, tomato, and their secret sauce). Oh but wait, there’s more… you can Super-Size any sandwich too!

Subsational makes sensational platters like the BBQ Steak Platter or the Mixed Grill. Their catering is customized to make any private party a winner with popular appetizers and hors d'oeuvres. Take-out, free local delivery, and drop off are available. The fact that they are one of the latest meat restaurants to stay open they are a great late night spot for everyone. Be sure to find students, faculty, and friends dining at their third and newest location at the Tanger Hillel House in Brooklyn College.
Bracha komarov- 11/01/14 I recall going to Subsational years back -- it is a shame their other location closed. However, I have been to this location on Coney Island , along with my husband, several times. I like the casual, friendly environment. Their subs are delicious. There are so many choices to choose from -- we'd order two and split so we can try both. The prices are definitely affordable for what you are getting. Some of the items I'd recommend are: the burritos, the health salad, and the Chicken Santiago sandwich. They also have kid specials, which are great for when dining out with little ones, and platters, which are a more elegant than a sandwich (though I usually stick to subs!).
My most recent visit to Subsational, on Coney Island in Brooklyn, was with my friend, my nephew and my two year old son. What a pleasant family friendly atmosphere. The open space allowed my son to have some freedom running around and nobody seemed to mind. The food was very reasonably priced and everyone enjoyed their food. I ordered a baby chicken sandwich was was quite yummy with a side of cole slaw which was delicious, and I am quite picky when it comes to my cole slaw. The sweetness and vinegar has to be just right. My son loved his chicken nuggets and french fries. Subsational definitely deserves a second trip!
