Grill Time Express is the younger brother of the two popular Grill Time restaurants in Florida. Opened in March 2011, it allowed Great Neck villagers to experience what everyone has been talking about down South. It’s a cozy restaurant serving the tight-knit community, where staff people know the customers on a first name basis.
Owner Eran Yousfan, who owns several sneaker stores, runs his restaurants with the enjoyment as a hobby. He chose to open this new spot in his own community and you can often find him eating there himself, making sure the quality and taste is up to par. “I’ve been living in Great Neck for 22 years,” he says. “Nothing comes close to the authentic Israeli food you get here, with this level of quality. Everything is as fresh as can be.” In the off-chance that a guest is not completely satisfied with his experience, the owner makes a personal call or sends an email to hear what the customer has to say. “We don’t cut any corners.”

interesting photographs. You’ll find an assortment of iced teas and soft drinks, as well as the soon-to-be offered wine menu. Lunch specials are available daily from Monday through Thursday so be sure to ask about them.
Wondering what those delicious smells are coming from? It’s that fresh shwarma and the many appealing foods hot off the grill. The Jerusalem Mix is a favorite here. It consists of three types of meat – baby chicken, beef shish kebob and chicken shish kebob – mixed with sautéed onions and peppers. It also comes with two sides. Another hit is the spicy chicken nuggets: it’s served as an appetizer but can also be enjoyed and savored as a main course. The next time you’re in Great Neck, be sure to make a stop at this great shwarma spot. It will surprise you with its fresh and satiating new formula.

My daughter and I enjoyed a wonderful lunch at Grill Time last week. The steak was delicious and Israeli salad and hummus were so fresh! The service was excellent and I'm so glad that we just passed by and tried this wonderful find!
