In the heart of Atlantic City, NJ, surrounded by hotels and casinos, you can smell the fresh aroma of pizza wafting through the door of Aroma Bistro. Whether breakfast, brunch or lunch, you can find something on their menu to satisfy your taste buds. Aroma Bistro opened up in July of 2011 as a dairy option to the owner’s popular meat restaurant next door, Jerusalem Glatt Kosher.
Atlantic City was lacking kosher eateries, especially dairy, and Jacob and Shoshana Ben-Shitrit, the owners, decided to fill that void. The Ben-Shitrit's have been in the food, catering and banquet business for 36 years. Shoshana Ben-Shitrit, the chef, a Moroccan/Israeli, and Jacob, a born Sabra, together bring the Mediterranean cuisine intertwined with a taste of Italian to Atlantic City. The atmosphere is casual and there’s an option to sit outdoors as well. Jacob’s and his wife Shoshana's philosophy on running the restaurant is 100% customer satisfaction, the customer always comes first. "If the customer is happy, we're happier," Jacob says, and you can be sure you will never leave unsatisfied. Inspired by the famous Aroma Cafe chain throughout Israel, known for its quality and good food, Jacob decided to open up a bistro where he continues to live up to the standards of the popular chain.
