Inside Midtown East’s Sony Plaza Atrium, you will find not your ordinary take-out pizzeria. Owner Joey Allaham proudly brings you Pizza Da Solo, the first Kosher Neapolitan Pizzeria in New York City. With soaring ceilings, the Sony Plaza on Madison Avenue offers a grand setting where you take your personal pie from Pizza Da Solo and dine right outside or is that still inside?
Coming from Sony Wonder Labs, students on their class trips as well as the business lunch crowd settle in for the same thing: thin and soft crust pizza topped with a simple tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, and fresh basil. Thanks to Chef Giulio Adriani’s 30 years of cooking experience, beginning in his grandmother’s kitchen in Naples, he redefined Neapolitan pizza in America adding to Pizza Da Solo’s authentic menu. His opening revolutionized the kosher pizza world, setting a new standard of quality, while attracting media and food lovers of the Jewish community that line up every day to taste one of his delicacies. Certified as an authentic Neapolitan Pizza Master by the Association Verace Pizza Napoletana (AVPN) and the Association Pizzaiuoli Napoletani (APN), Giulio gives you that opportunity to magically watch your 10” inch pizza crust bubble inside the round, red topped wood-burning oven, cooked at a very high temperature (1000°F).
The pizzas come in over fifteen different varieties using fresh homemade mozzarella to Chef Adriani’s liking. The names of the pizzas on the menu are even in their beautiful native language: Quattro Formaggi (4 Cheese), Cipolle (Onion), Funghi (Mushroom), and the classic Margherita, producing an original Neapolitan taste with San Marzano tomato sauce, home-made mozzarella, basil, and parmesan. It’s worth the splurge for Al Turtufo Olio, the truffle pizza made with ricotta, arugula, pecorino, high-quality truffle oil and, while they last, shaved black truffle. Pizza Da Solo also receives rave reviews for their creamy Caesar Salad, and their Pizza Dessert filled with a hazelnut spread, toasted hazelnuts, and powdered sugar. What’s really great about Pizza Da Solo is that they are open late, ‘til 10 o’clock, and deliver. You can even order online! Stop by and taste this everyday luxury.

Thank you so much for opening a kosher pizza store in Midtown Manhattan. You are very smart to do so because there aren't any in this area and there is a great demand for this. I think there should be more variety of salads. Good Luck
