When opening their restaurant in 2005, the owners felt there was a need for a specialty burger place in Brooklyn. Their vision proved right and Joseph Dream Burger has since been a popular lunch and dinner place, bustling mostly with young clientele and families dining in or picking up their orders, attracted by the great tasting menu and reasonable prices. In February 2013 they added another location in Mill Basin, which has more of a local neighborhood feel. Both locations feature a modern design, with black furniture and walls painted in two different bright colors - yellow and red. The color scheme of their décor and logo hints to the connection with the Biblical Joseph and his multi-colored robe. The Flatbush location also has an outdoor seating area in the back, to be enjoyed in pleasant weather. Both locations are open late, with the Flatbush one staying open as late as 3am on Saturday nights.
Everything at JDB is prepared fresh on premises, including their sauces and home baked buns. They feature 12 different sauces prepared daily with no preservatives. The highly recommended choice is their “Chimigarlic” sauce, which is a mix of Chimichuri and Garlic Mayo sauces. Other signature sauces include Pickled Lemon Aioli sauce, consisting of pickled lemon, mayo, garlic and Joseph secret spices, and for those who like it hot, Chipotle sauce, made with special Chipotle Spanish red peppers. The burgers are generously sized and are available in 4 different flavors, including Lamb Burger and Spicy Beef Burger. You can also customize your burger with such add-ons as fried egg (sunny side or omelet), Portobello mushroom, corned beef or avocado.

The menu features a selection of salads, in addition to a variety of wraps and sandwiches, with their Grilled Chicken Breast Salad being one of the most popular choices. Some of their specialty sandwiches include Steak Sandwich, made with rib eye steak, and Deli Special, made with corned beef, and served on a baguette bread. Among the appetizers, you cannot go wrong with the Joseph Triplet, their 3 slider burgers and customers have been raving about their Homemade Fries - just one more reason to come in.
