Kosher Gourmet is one of the few full-service kosher restaurants serving the greater Orlando area. Located on Universal Blvd. within a short drive from Disney theme parks, it has been in high demand with both vacationing families and business travelers since its opening in 2008. The restaurant is also next door to Chabad of South Orlando, which makes it a convenient daven-and-dine destination. Its location in the shopping center with its huge parking lot also assures that parking is never an issue. The spacious dining room accommodates over 60 people, and its casual décor in earth tones with mahogany-colored furniture is a good fit for the restaurant’s down-to-earth, fresh-made, and reasonably-priced food.
Their menu is designed to satisfy a range of tastes with its American, Deli, Israeli and Chinese offerings. One of their most popular appetizers is Mixed Israeli Salad Platter, which includes hummus, matbucha, babaganush, Israeli salad and Moroccan eggplant. If you wish to remain faithful to the Middle Eastern cuisine with your entrée, Mixed Grill (which includes Pargiot, Kefta, and Shawarma) is an excellent choice. Diners also appreciate their flavorful hamburgers, satisfying deli sandwiches, and Chinese favorites, such as General Tso Chicken and Chicken Lo Mein. Their top house specialty is without a doubt the Rib Eye Steak, made with grass-fed beef from Uruguay. Another highly regarded signature dish is Moroccan Chicken with lemon and olives.

Kosher Gourmet’s little customers are not forgotten either- their favorite is Popcorn Chicken. Kosher Gourmet’s homemade desserts are masterfully prepared by the Holland-born and trained Executive Chef Catharina, who has 20 years’ experience in hospitality business. Pastry is Catharina’s specialty, and she gets creative with her Tiramisu, Chocolate Lava, Pineapple Upside Down Cakes, and many other cakes as the dessert menu changes daily. Kosher Gourmet also offers Shabbat takeout, and can deliver to hotels in the area.
