Back in November 2018, we reported that a new sports bar was coming to Brooklyn. Construction, city red tape, construction, yada, yada, yada, we are here in January 2020 and they are almost done with the construction. They are looking to bolster their staff with a talented chef, so if this is something that interests you and you have experience, message me or email The restaurant will have at least 8 TVs, 44 seats inside (an additional 25 outside when Spring decides to roll in) and the best way I can describe their menu is elevated bar food with beer on tap and bottles. They will have a full liquor license and will be open from around 3pm till midnight, with later hours on Thursday and Saturday night. Under the OK Supervision. Located at 674 Rogers Avenue (off Clarkson Avenue). Click here to see the whole post.

A Shabbat in Halifax
We broke the news last Friday morning on our Facebook group that passengers from an El Al flight were stranded in Halifax, Nova Scotia over Shabbat after the plane was forced to make an emergency landing to due smoke in the cabin. One of the passengers on the flight was group member and gave us live updates. In a heart-warming turn of events volunteers in New York including those from Long Island's Gourmet Glatt and purveyor Chop-A-Nosh and the Halifax Chabad stepped in to create as haimish a Shabbat as possible for the stranded Shomer Shabbat passengers. With help of a group of Observant Jewish pilots and excellent coordination the food was able to get to the passengers and a Shabbaton of sorts occurred amongst the stranded El Al flyers. A happy ending to what could have been an upsetting and frustrating situation. Click here to read more.
This week's Hot Topic...
It's unfortunately that time of the year when South Florida restaurants have to deal with the ugly side of the industry where customers feel they have a right to make reservations and cancel them at the last minute or not even show up.For the love of God, if you have double booked a reservation or if you know you won't be able to make a reservation, do not let it just fly by, please call up and cancel ASAP with as much as time as possible.
