Long time upscale Kosher restaurant Abigael's will not be coming back post-Coronavirus. It may come as sad news, and it is for so many of their customers who won't be able to dine their again. But they are not going anywhere. They will be keeping their catering and concession business and will be partnering up with with Park East Kosher on the Upper East Side. The Upper West Side dairy eatery Effy's Cafe has unfortunately closed permanently. The restaurant was known for Israeli inspired dairy dishes. They will be missed by the full NYC community. See the story here

The upscale Israeli eatery, Rothschild TLV located on the Upper East Side has opened for business. Currently they are take out only in accordance with NYC rules. We look forward to trying their food and wish them much success. See the note on our Facebook here

The Kosher vegan chain Jus by Julie which sells salads and juices will be opening an outpost at Kosher in Midtown. Expect their products to be flying off the shelves soon! See more info here

Their executive chef, Mark Hennessey, has carefully crafted a "family style" menu with your convenience in mind. Each dish comfortably feeds three to five people. The menu features some crowd favorites like Boeuf Bourguignon, Slow Roasted Beef Brisket, Banana Pecan Bread Pudding and many other mouthwatering options. Long awaited Kosher sports bar Abe's Corner has opened for business in Crown Heights! They are pivoting from the sports bar concept for now and are serving delicious take-out food. We wish them much look and look forward to trying their food soon! Check out the full story and more pictures here

The Italian ice chain Rita's has opened a new Kosher location in Flatbush. The new spot is located at: 1811 East 7th street (Between Kings Highway and Quentin Road) and are certified under the OU.

The Catskills is about to get a taste of Brooklyn. King of Delancey is opening an outpost there soon and will serve their delicious meat dishes to the members of Vacation Village. Check out the story here

The Teaneck dairy restaurant Mocha Bleu is premiering a cold-pressed juice bar with acai bowls! They are calling it Mohca Bar + Bowl. Kosher restaurants in Orlando have expressed their frustration with out of town restaurants coming to set up in their area. The Orlando restaurants live and die by tourism, and without tourists in the area they are struggling. It's an interesting ethical question we have been dealing with in the group. Controversial as it may be, the state of Florida is beginning to re-open at 50% dine-in capacity. I am in touch with the owners, and a few have already expressed that they will be acting with extreme caution with the customers who come in and making sure they are abiding to the social distancing laws. See more details here

Another piece of good news from South Florida. Alma Grill has re-opened for dine in starting Tuesday May 19th. They are taking reservations and will have limited seating. Takeout also available.

Bubby's Fish and Chips is running a special menu during this ordeal. It is the family special for $25 which includes 14" pizza, housemade french fries, grilled salmon, rice, and fresh salad. All nice portions.Also for $3 more you can upgrade to a premium white fish choice of cod or corvina.

Due to rising costs and demand from their overall customer base the long-time kosher coffee chain Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, based on the West Coast has decided to end their kosher certification and will start serving non-kosher items on June 8th.
