I did a little digging and here's what I have found out and been told from the parties involved. I called the restaurant and spoke to the mashgiach, Moshe. He directed me to the one who hired him. His name is R Sholtiel Lebovic, a Chabad-Lubavitch Chassid in Brooklyn who was hired by the new supervision, Rabbi Mayer Steinberg to kasher the kitchen and help get mashgichim. I have known Rabbi Lebovic and his company Go Kosher for many years and he tells me new owners have taken over and are Shomer Shabbat; they buy from Alle and the restaurant is closed on Shabbos. Click here for the contract from Rabbi Yisrael Meyer Steinberg of the Cup K (and to weigh in). This post is not to endorse or comment on the reliability of the kashrus. One must decide for themselves and ask their LOR. I am giving you the information I have discovered. The restaurant is located at: 1599 York Ave, New York, NY.

BROOKLYN
Marine Park, I've got good news and bad news: Tea for Two is no longer open for dine in service, but they are open and taking lots of parties and requests. With the staff shortage and lack of support for dine in, they felt this was a better use of the restaurant. It is a large space and great for parties. If you're looking to do a simcha or event, please consider this beautiful establishment, with indoor and outdoor space. Accommodating meat or dairy. Click here to weigh in. Located at 3217 Quentin Road, Brooklyn NY. # (718) 489-4205.

LONG ISLAND
This falls into a nice category of cool, casual, but classy burger house with really nice steaks, nachos, tacos, poppers. Priced not as an upscale steakhouse. The burger had a good grind and fat to meat ratio (bun held up well), steak was cooked perfectly medium rare. Wishing them much hatzlacha and Mazal. Click here for a picture of me with owners Eved and Eddie, and here to weigh in. Click here for a video of the mezuzah going up, and here for a video of my first bite at the tasting. We broke news a couple of weeks ago and it was picked up by most Jewish outlets. As you know, it's a sad situation if you've been following our investigation. In case you missed it, here is the official statement sent by the OK Supervision about their decision concerning Kosher Chinese Express of Manalapan, NJ. "OK Kosher has completed an extensive investigation into the events at Kosher Chinese Express in Manalapan, New Jersey. Kosher Chinese Express intentionally violated its obligation to the kosher consumer despite OK Kosher's having assigned multiple Mashgichim Temidim to this restaurant … The owner verbally admitted to bringing in the non-kosher items beginning with the nationwide chicken shortage in March 2022. HaRav Menachem M. Weissman shlit"a was consulted throughout the investigation and he ruled that kashering is necessary if you reheated the food using your own equipment, Consult a Rav about Kashering questions." Contact OK Kosher at (718) 756-7500 with any questions. To see the infamous video, click here. For the final verdict with details, click here.

Well, I'm back...but I want to go back. I'm hooked. I've tasted the cruise life and it was awesome. There's so much to say and show you but if you have 3 minutes, my office and I put together this fun video of my time on the cruise. Click here to see it and weigh in with any questions. I know the main question is 'how do I find out about the next Kosher fresh program cruise from Royal Caribbean?' So, nothing official has been announced. There is a very strong possibility, they will be having 1, 2 or even 3 ships leaving Orlando or Miami over the span of the 2 weeks of Yeshiva Week, but it would be premature to announce anything. The best, easiest and fastest way to book is to get on the email list of travel agent Sharon Gratt Leeds; she will get the go ahead from Royal and tell me, but if she has your information, she can book you right away. This fresh Kosher package will be limited and will sell out fast. Price of rooms depend on cabin, the ship, destination (around $2000-$2500 per couple) and the kosher package (3 fresh buffet meals every day) was $50pp per day, not sure if that will change. Click here for the link to fill out preliminary information and she will get back to you.
