BIG NEWS: So news broke on November 11 by the Commercial Observer that the area called NoMad (North of Madison Park) will be getting a high-end Kosher steakhouse in early 2015. The report goes on to say that JTRE Holdings has leased the space to Prime & Wine Kosher Steakhouse, a 6,000-square-foot retail condominium unit at 31 East 28th Street (between Park and Madison), consisting of 4,000 square feet of which is on the ground floor.
Interestingly enough, the original story that was posted by the Commercial Observer gave the indication that the restaurant will be under the Prime Hospitality Group, which owns Prime Grill and it's many other high restaurants. A quick call to PHG owner, Joey Allaham, revealed that he is not associated with this restaurant or property whatsoever. And then a half hour later, the Prime Hospitality Group line was removed. So no word yet on who the new owner is, but we have some good guesses. We'll follow up soon on this and set back you.
