Brooklyn Restaurant News: Bison & Bourbon opening in Gowanus (yes, near the Expressway)
Got a call from the owner a couple of weeks ago about this place but I couldn't say anything until ColLive posted their story - don't you hate when that happens so here is the article with great info and some really nice pictures they got. Click here for a video tour of the restaurant sent to us by the owner. It looks amazing and from the outdoor patio to high ceilings to the long bar, you can bet you'll be hearing the words "Bison & Bourbon" a lot on our Facebook group. Excited to see what their menu will consist of.

Bison & Bourbon, Brooklyn's newest Kosher meat restaurant set to open after Pesach, is promising to create an experience of a different kind.
Set in a building used as a warehouse in the 1930's, the owners have transformed it into a unique dining establishment and full bar with a European outdoor vibe and a historic look inside.
"The goal is to provide an amazing culinary experience, with both delicious and plentiful portions while enjoying a great ambiance and warm vibe," says owner Duddy Shagalov, a partner in the new venture along with Ariel Mangami and Menachem Wolf.
The 3 young Crown Heights residents invested in the restaurant together with Ersin Vurgun and Erdam Sahin, owner of the existing hotspot located on 7th Avenue, between 2nd and 3rd Avenues, in Gowanus, Brooklyn.
Reclaimed wood from the roof of the building was lovingly restored for the bar and tables and the building boasts its original brick walls. A relaxing outdoor seating area feels like an oasis in the middle of Brooklyn.
The restaurant will offer a large selection of meats, as well as appetizers, with a full menu to enjoy while at the bar. Also available will be an exciting "bites" menu as well as a variety of drinks and cocktails.
Bison & Bourbon can seat 200 people inside on 2 levels, with the upper level recommended for private events such as parties, family gatherings and Sheva Brachos. Outdoor seating can accommodate 100 people, "which will provide for a great experience in the spring and summer," Shagalov told COLlive.
The restaurant is ideally located right off the BQE in Gowanus, Brooklyn, in close proximity to the neighboring Jewish communities and an approximate 10 minute drive from the frum Jewish neighborhoods of Crown Heights, Flatbush, Boro Park and Williamsburg at 191 7th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11215.
