Hold on to your sun hats! We've got some South Florida news with lots of moving parts so hopefully this will all make sense to you. The owner of Kosh Miami in Surfside, Jean-Marc Benitah, has moved back to Paris and the owner of Fresko in Aventura, Abraham Getzel, has taken over the restaurant as of last week (although we have known for months). While the Aventura location remains, the Surfside restaurant will continue to operate as Kosh Miami with a brand new menu (click here), created by Chef David Posner and Chef Jenny Aranguren. But then it will be getting a makeover and a new name to be revealed before the Florida "restaurant season" (usually December time).
Now keep in mind that Kosh Miami is located across the street from Fresko's newest location at 9476 Harding Avenue in Surfside, which took over Ike's Dinner after the summer, and they will be opening soon.
But wait, there's more...Fresko will also be opening a Fresko Express in the Chase Building in the Aventura Mall next week which will feature a lighter version of their menu with sandwiches and sushi. See below for exclusive photos. They will be located at 19495 Biscayne Blvd, Aventura, FL 33180.
