A new Kosher Mediterranean and Japanese style restaurant, named Japanika, is opening up this Sunday on Bustleton Avenue in Northeast Philadelphia and the opening is being highly anticipated according to locals. The sushi and grill will be offering a variety of items including Schwarma, Schnitzel, Chinese and American food. Japanika is under the Community Kashrus of Greater Philadelphia.

This is the latest venture from Eyal Aranya and Nadav Abargel, owners of Burger.org (which recently closed their Elkins Park location - the other 3 burger.orgs remain open). Coincidentally, Abargel's brother Sharone, is the proprieter of the nearby dairy restaurant, Espresso Cafe & Sushi. Meanwhile, Japanika is not to be confused with the popular Israeli sushi chain of the same name, as they are not affiliated in any way.
