This is pretty insane! I went to the game with my son, and suddenly, we were eating kosher restaurant food at Yankee Stadium Legends Dining Club kosher buffet like "real people." Waiters came over to you to ask if you need anything, brings drinks, etc. Bottom line, I can never go back to concessions. The kosher food is made in house. There are 60 kitchens in Yankee stadium, 1 is designated fully kosher, under the Star K Supervision. Click here for a video of us checking out the club, and here for a video of Max and I chowing down. For more information, plus another video, click here.

INDUSTRY NEWS
Pizza World Owner Darren Melamed gave away a a free Large Cheese Pizza this past Sunday, for any donation ($36 and up) towards the Kevurah of Howard Weiss, who Darren described as "my mentor and predecessor of the original Los Angeles pizza place, right here, Kosher Nostra." Click here for the link. "Howard opened Kosher Nostra in 1978. He was known for his witty humor, creativity, violin playing (people said he was like Tevya from Fiddler on the roof), his quirkiness and his intimidating persona. He then opened a very popular fast food Chinese restaurant Peking Tam. After that, he opened/built the largest chain of six kosher restaurants; two in the valley, two on Pico along with the existing two(which I became the manager of). At one point earlier on, he opened another Pizza place in Palm Springs. Two other pizza stores, grew out of Kosher Nostra; his pizza cook opened La Pizza in the valley and one of his pizza guys, who I had worked with, went to be the main guy at Pizza Mayven on LaBrea. His best accomplishment, was marrying his sweet wife Rachel in 1986. Howard’s health issues and care he needed of late have squandered much of his funds. Please join me in helping out this Los Angeles icon, in helping carry out his final wish; burial in Israel. BDE." Click here to weigh in.

Grubhub featured a promotion for free lunch on 5/17/22. A lot of people took advantage of it, and the influx meant that … not a lot of people were happy. It was a good thought, but the execution could have been better. Still, it worked out for me. Click here to see where I ordered from. As for the rest, new ideas don't always work the first time. If at first you don't succeed, try, try again, as the old adage goes. Click here for examples of how restaurants handled the influx of orders.
