End of an Era... Or does it have to be?
This is really sad news for those who are familiar with the veteran diner/cafe in Flatbush. All is not lost and the owner still has the lease and would be willing to sell it with the name and existing accounts. Lots of potential with a full experienced operator and good location. $9786 rent a month, $23,000 annual real estate tax. Lease is good for a few years. They are located at:1416 Avenue J, Brooklyn. Near train station, Yeshiva of Flatbush, Touro. Click here to check out our Facebook page with more info and to share your memories.
The owners of the very popular falafel and Middle Eastern restaurant in Brooklyn are keeping their doors open but are looking to sell. As you can imagine owning and operating a restaurant takes a huge amount of time and effort and the owners are working on more ventures and feel now is the right time to sell it. For details on the space, click here.

Did you know that there is freshly prepared kosher food in the school cafeteria every day from The Bay Cafe just blocks away in Manhattan Beach?
The offer a variety of salad and sandwiches, like egg salad, tuna fish, garden salad, and Cesar Salad.
They can also do catering on their college campus, which by the way is beautiful. Inquire with the restaurant. Click here for more pics and info
5 TOWNS
The newly purchased restaurant is offering a $200 gift card to anyone who comes up with it. The veteran Coffee Bar in the 5 Towns was sold a couple of weeks ago. The place is currently undergoing a face-lift with renovations and a new look. They will still offer much of what everyone loves about them, reasonably priced classic dairy fare and in an inviting and comfortable atmosphere. But they want a new name to go with their grand re-opening and they are asking the Foodies what they think. For a chance to enter click here

Backyard BBQ obtained the new place (former location of MESA) it’s double the size of the former location, which was practically next door. A new restaurant is coming soon in that old location. More details on that soon. Backyard BBQ co-owner Mendel Segal and his team have been hustling for weeks getting the new location open, which is unheard in restaurant standards. The bar area looks great, seating is plentiful (so no double bookings!), menu is essentially the same right now but I'm sure a lot more changes to come. Who's making plans to visit Backyard BBQ? New location is at: 9472 Harding Ave, Surfside, FL 33154 / (305) 763-8818/ www.BackyardMiami.com

Dan's Place is having a November Hearty Italian Buffet Pop Up
We wrote about this unique restaurant earlier in the year, but this gets me every time. Dan's Place is having a November Hearty Italian Buffet Pop Up a week from today (November 10th) with Garlic Bread, Olives & Marinated Vegetables, Chicken Cacciatore, Cacio e Pepe Pasta, Mixed Green Salad, Polenta Cake. If you can attend, please do.
