Hmm, looks the 5 Towns just got a little bit cooler. Rita's Ices is moving into the Lawrence neighborhood (under the Vaad of 5 Towns), on Central Avenue, off Rockaway Turnpike, next to Glatt Farm, a few doors down from Traditions. I had an exclusive talk with the owner yesterday and here are the latest details:
They will be opening hopefully mid-June (as soon as construction is completed) This is their first Rita's. They will be selling the regular Rita's menu, plus hot pretzels and churros and maybe a few more snack type items. Stay tuned for more in the coming weeks.
