We broke the news on Thursday April 23rd on our Facebook group, Great Kosher Restaurant Foodies.
Sad news in the kosher world today as the Brooklyn location of Wolf and Lamb, a beloved steakhouse, has announced that they will not be opening again even after the crisis related to COVID-19 subsides.
Wolf and Lamb owner Zalman Wunesch released a statement about the closing:
After nearly a decade serving the Brooklyn Kosher community, we are sad to announce that due to issues related to the corona crisis, Wolf and Lamb is sad to be closing our Brooklyn location. Serving you and your families and celebrating happy occasions together was our absolute pleasure.
As of right now the plan is for the Manhattan location to re-open once they are able to. We thank Zalman for all he has done for the Brooklyn kosher community and wish him luck in all future endeavors.
Wolf and Lamb was noted for its upscale atmosphere and delicious, steak-focused menu. Unfortunately, they might be one of the first but will by no means be the last of the restaurants to close. With everything going on more sad news is likely on the horizon, however we look forward to those that will come back doing so with a vengeance and thriving in a post-coronavirus world.
Remember we will all get through this together.
