Serves 6
Ingredients:
1 small bunch cilantro
cumin
1 tsp fresh garlic ground
paprika
2 large onions
salt
2 lbs flanken meat
turmeric
2 whole carrots
black pepper
4 medium to large potatoes
Directions:
Finely chop onions and combine
with flanken. Put in a large pot
with 4 quarts of water. Boil
together for 20 minutes. Next,
add a pinch of salt, a pinch of
pepper, a pinch of paprika, a
pinch of cumin, and a pinch of
turmeric with cilantro and garlic
to the pot, and boil for another 20
minutes. Cut 4 potatoes into 6
pieces each, slice carrots and place
into the pot with the above.
Cook all together for 20 more
minutes on a low flame. Soup is
ready, add more salt to taste if
necessary
