ABOUT Talia's Steakhouse
Talia’s Steakhouse is always on the cutting edge of restaurant service, offering perks that keep customers coming back for more. With a kosher “cheese” burger that attracts much media attention, owner Ephraim Nagar knows how to give you a good time.

Mr. Nagar opened the restaurant in 2002 in memory of his daughter Talia, designating it as a center for constructive gatherings, quality kosher food and happy memories. As you enter, you are greeted by the strains of mellow music, often live, that instantly transforms your mood. Dark woods are accented beautifully with red banquettes and illuminated exposed brick. Combine that with dim lighting and flickering candles and you have the perfect setting for a romantic dinner or a business meeting gone right. In addition, paintings with Kabbalistic-looking, whimsical letters that spell out the word Talia in Hebrew add the perfect touch.

The restaurant is usually bustling with dates and a hip, trendy crowd. It has an open bar where you are able to eat, drink and watch a sports game on their 42” Sony Plasma HDTV. The bar is a great place to meet, mix and mingle with other singles and friends. It is a small, intimate space that encourages new conversations or brings existing ones to the next level.

They have live music on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday nights, with no cover charge. Along with a welcoming environment, they serve special premium cuts of steaks such as bone-in prime rib for one or for two, filet mignon, and butcher's cut. Moreover, Talia's serves duck, whole fish, and vegetarian dishes.

Talia's Steakhouse
Great experience!- 01/28/15

My girlfriends and I were looking to go someplace kosher for dinner. Talias was close to where we were on the Upper West Side, and a friend had recommended it, so we decided to give it a try! It was really busy, so we had to wait for a seat, but the staff was really nice. They got us a seat as soon as they could, even moving around some of the tables to accommodate us. It was well worth the wait because the food was excellent!!! I had the Moroccan salmon, and my girlfriends all got the steak. We had some pretty delicious cocktails too. We tried to eat everything but couldn't. It was the best meal I've had in a long time. We are definitely coming back.

After a nice drive through Central Park and arriving at Talia's Steakhouse, I appreciated that I was seated without a prior reservation. It was nice and lively and the atmosphere was really electric. The selection on the menu was quite varied. I really enjoyed that. I had ordered the Prime Rib and when it arrived, the plate was steaming hot as well. This kept the meat hot throughout the meal. The service was outstanding as well. The staff made sure that we were enjoying our selves throughout the meal. Very personable. Thanks for a great time.

Celebrated my husband’s 48th Birthday here with our family. Big party? No problem. We arranged all our guest meals ahead of time. So once we arrived, I coordinated with the manager the procession of our night. Managers and servers were very professional. We all received our drinks and pitas once we settled in. Starting with our Middle Eastern Salads and proceeded with our soups, entrees, and dessert (we brought our own cake.) Well organized staff, delicious food and perfectly paired wine = happy husband!

I recently held my son's Bar Mitzvah at Talia's Steakhouse and have nothing but compliments for the restaurant based on that experience. My family and I were obviously busy with all the preparations, and Talia's was incredibly helpful in planning out all the meals and prices for the evening. We were looking for somewhere nice but not too extravagant to hold the event, and Talia's delivered on all fronts, making the night something special for all of us there. Everyone in attendance was talking about how great the food was, and they had a really fun time. I could not thank Talia's enough for helping us put everything together and making it such a memorable night for my son.

I am by no means a New York diner, although I have eaten in kosher restaurants in many US cities on my travels to visit family, and I am an avid restaurant - goer. That being said, I was welcomed to the world of NY dining with an amazing introduction at Talia's steakhouse. Prime Rib for one and lamb, two of my favorite meats, were extraordinary here. Appetizer salads and fries on the side were merely tasty compared to the main dish. Souffle for desert was a divine ending for my already overly satisfied taste buds. Server was top notch and at every moment returned to check on our satisfaction. For me, service and food can 'make or break' my eating out experience, and Talia's surpassed these expectations.

I love Talia's Steakhouse! We just finished a wonderful dinner party at Talia's, and as always the food and service were astounding. Great steak and wine and service! Keep up the good work and we will be regulars for years to come.

Eating out in kosher restaurants has typically been a low quality experience for me. The prices are typically exorbitant, the service standard lacking quality, and the food often disappointing. I had the opposite experience when I ate out at Talia's, and I was very pleasantly surprised! Talia's has recession special prices, and my husband and I had steak wraps, fries, and some appetizers, which were low cost and very appetizing! The service was pretty good as well and in summary, I highly recommend Talia's if you are looking for a kosher dining experience.

We never been to Talia's Steakhouse and since we are going to be a group of 15 and most of my guests are from out of town, I wanted to check Talia's Steakhouse prior to making reservations for Thanksgiving. So, last night, my wife and I went to Talia's for dinner and we found out that the ambiance is great, the food was very freash and tasty and the service was professional and attentive. We are looking forward to enjoy our thanksgiving dinner at Talia's.

Went there last night and had a great experience! Got the Prime Rib for 2 - was cooked to perfection! Great steak. The chocolate dome dessert is decadent! You can sit outside with an incredible and authentic NYC ambiance. Great Location! Very reasonably and fairly priced. Wait staff is A+++. Owner is very helpful and friendly. Great Job all around!
