information about Pico Kosher Deli
RABBINICAL SUPERVISION
Rabbinical Council of California (RCC)
A Los Angeles landmark for decades, Pico Kosher Deli is still going strong, attracting old and new customers alike. Credited as LA's first glatt kosher delicatessen - and the only true kosher deli in the area, period - generations of diners have flocked to the store for over fifty years: and now you can bring the entire family together, indoors* in vintage-inspired booths or seated in their spacious outdoor dining area - complete with green umbrellas to shade you from the California sun.
Under new ownership, Pico Kosher Deli continues to thrive as it walks the line between old-school and innovative masterfully: a feat anywhere in this age, but especially in hip Los Angeles. Mendel Goldman has put a new spin on one of the iconic Jewish American eateries! Pastrami on rye, as expected, is a staple, as is brisket, corned beef, deli dogs and even steak. All deli meat in the classic arched glass display cases are freshly cut and steamed before assembly, for a truly satisfying overstuffed sandwich experience. Other traditional (and delicious) items - like matzo ball soup, chopped liver, and knishes - make up the bulk of the menu.

More modern options include remixes of well-loved flavors and combinations, or entirely new twists: pastrami flatbread and chili fries, and duck confit blintzes. The menu features a Mexican subsection as well. A robust Shabbos & Yom Tov menu means that you can have your favorites any day of the week. Packages and platters are also available for purchase for your office, simcha, or shiva. Ask about catering for your next event!
Pico Kosher Deli's atmosphere is clean, bright, and warmly nostalgic: a must-visit for the passerby and LA local alike!
