Located in district 17, known for its array of kosher restaurants, Tib’s stands out as one of the best dairy kosher establishments in the area. The 90-seat restaurant is comfortable and unassuming yet the ambiance is modern and inviting. Tib’s 17 (they have another restaurant in District 19 - see next page) is owned by Ariel Metzger, a tall and friendly man who aims to please his customers. (Publisher’s Note: I had the distinct honor of going almost 100mph on the back of Ariel’s motorcycle on the Paris highway, zig zagging in between cars - I think my hand is still hurting from squeezing the handles so tightly). Meanwhile, most will agree that the secret of the restaurant’s longevity is the quality of its food. Tib’s has an extremely large menu, literally and figuratively, to satisfy anyone’s tastes. Pizza, pastas, salads, salt and sugared crepes, complete fish, sushi, etc. can all be found on their menu. In fact, Tib’s is one of the original kosher restaurant to introduce sushi to a pizza-restaurant setting. Their creative desserts are talked about all over the world - and while their service is fast, be patient with the desserts, as they take a little bit more time to prepare, but it is well worth it. You can make your own crepe with a salad of fresh tomatoes, onions, mushrooms, potatoes, tomato sauce, oregano, anchovy, smoked salmon, tuna, goat cheese and mozzarella. Their pizzas are made in a special oven and are created with an artistic flair. The restaurant also offers a very fast delivery service, so if you find yourself in your hotel room and craving sushi, salads, pizza or anything - chances are, it’s on their menu.
