ABOUT Cork & Slice (5 Towns)

Walk into Cork & Slice, and it's like you have just stepped into a five-star restaurant in the heart of Italy. Owners and brothers Ed Safaniev & Boris Safaniev wanted to open a restaurant that offered traditional yet innovative Italian cuisine. At the heart of it, Cork & Slice is an American fare restaurant, heavily influenced by Italian cuisine. Their Consulting Chef, Oscar Martinez has previously worked at The Old Homestead in NYC. He has also worked on the Northshore of Long Island at Hendricks, Bar Frites & Cipollini. He uses his fine culinary skills to compose exquisite dishes, using only the freshest, seasonal, high-quality ingredients, thus resulting in one of the most delicious Kosher Italian restaurants in Cedarhurst, Long Island.

The restaurant offers a rustic atmosphere, with its distressed wood tables, beautifully exposed brick walls and urban lighting. Diners can be seated at either the front of the restaurant or the bar, where they can watch the chefs at work, making homemade, fresh pizzas. They also have an upstairs dining room, with a modern fireplace included, that sits up to 70 people for extra seating and parties.

They are also open for breakfast from 7am-8am pastries and coffee (great for those looking to catch a train across the street) and 8am-11:45am, offering a full breakfast menu. The menu is family friendly and has something for adults and kids. They will also accommodate you if you want a plain omelette, no cilantro on the shakshuka, or whatever substitution you want.

The atmosphere feels homey and comfortable. Their food is at a sophisticated level where it's not pretentious but done with style and great home made ingredients.
