Yapchik, named for a special deli dish popular in Jerusalem and made with a combo of deep-fried potato pudding fused with succulent chunks of meat, is favored among the post-midnight crowds of Yeshiva boys eating out after an intense week of studying Talmud and looking for a place to schmooze and relax. On Thursdays, they have late night hours for young and old, yeshiva boys to stay or for those starting their preparations for Shabbos. With their buffet available every night including cholent and kugel, Yapchik makes it easy to find something you’ll enjoy. On one side you’ll see an upscale meatopia display and on the other is the casual buffet. Offering authentic upscale cuisine with an exciting wide array of appetizers and a full menu of unique Yapchik-style main dishes, with each serving having its exceptional character, from sweet, spicy, savory to crunchy. You’ll find overnight kugel, yapchik and deli roll, at the same time, Short Ribs, Hanger Steak, Sous Vide Chili Oyster, Hasselback Salami, French Roast, Skirt Steak, Veal short ribs, Lamb riblets and Rubin Croquettes.
Beresh Rappaport, the executive chef is serving modern heimesh meats. Some menu favorites include Korean flanken ribs are sous vide, pastrami kishka, grilled skirt steak, hassle back salami which is a great mix of salty and sweet, and glazed, slow braised short ribs in wine and tomato.
