Mamilla Los Angeles is helping bring Mediterranean dining back to Los Angeles thanks to head chef Sean Chaprak.

 

Mamilla’s mission is to provide their customers with the absolute best dining experience from every bite down to what song is playing. Mamilla’s chefs select each ingredient by hand, and nothing goes out of their kitchen without being approved by Chef Sean. 

 

Having worked around the world and being influenced by different cuisines for years they’ve honed their cooking styles. Mamilla’s philosophy is to create a relationship and dialogue with each and every customer that walks into the restaurant. From the pairing of food and drink, down to the hospitable experience of the staff.

 

The menu is a fusion of Israeli street food, traditional Jewish dishes (Chraime anyone), and European fine dining. 

 

Start your meal with Fish Shawarma Tacos. These are a fun injection of local Los Angeles into the Middle Eastern flavors. Served on grilled pitas, fresh white fish is seasoned and served with salsa and cilantro. If you prefer something meatier, the Mediterranean egg rolls are egg roll wraps filled with chickpeas,chicken, and leeks, served with a sweet chili sauce and a spicy jalapeno herb aioli.

For mains, they have a rotating selection of Tajines for you to choose from, a grilled rib eye, or Chraime. This traditional Jewish favorite isn’t anything like what bubby made. This salmon dish is steamed and served with chickpeas, a tomato-pepper sauce, and served with toasted challah.

 

Oh and for dessert, get your Israeli candy fix with their house-made version of a Krembo (the delightful chocolate marshmallow treat). Made with mocha ice cream and pareve meringue, this will elevate the classic confection to fine dining standards.

 

If you’re a music fan you can’t miss their DJ and Jazz nights. With live music from talented artists, weekendnights are used for showcasing some fun music and great food at Mamilla. On Thursdays they have the latest in Israeli music, Saturdays are for the DJs, and Sundays kick back with some Jazz before the work week starts up again. If you like a little show with your dinner make sure you stop by for a great night out!
