ABOUT FalafaLafa

Rolex Replica Watches

Falafel, it’s every Jew’s first real introduction to Israel. The crispy fried exterior giving way to the green fluffy, delightful flavor of chickpeas, lemon, and parsley. It’s a flavor that reminds you of Israel. In Brooklyn, New York a bit of FalafaLafa is sure to bring you back to the memories and taste of our Homeland.

Located steps from Marine Park, FalafaLafa is one of the premiere destinations for vegetarian Israeli food in the New York area. FalafaLafa is devoted to making fun, fresh, and healthy Israeli soul food. A paradise of Mediterranean flavor.

With a little injection of Brooklyn hipsterism, FalafaLafa transcends its falafel stand origins and updates itself for the Brooklyn kosher consumer thanks to the personable owner Shlomi Lavi. While yes, seating is minimal and you will be waiting in line to give directions as to what exactly should go into your pita and how much. The walls are adorned with cool art and pictures, and the fridge while still serves some familiar Israeli drinks it also has housemade ice teas and juices available for purchase. And yes the counter is clean, but no that doesn’t take away from the charm of the place

[continued above, right]

During the summer they have outdoor seating available or you could always take your food and sit in Marine Park which is basically next door to the restaurant. Go outside and look to your left and you’ll see it! It makes for a beautiful lunch break during a busy day when you need just a bit of fresh air.

The menu is pretty much what you imagine it to be. Falafa in a pita or a lafa (we highly recommend the lafa), shakshuka in a pita or lafa (or plate), and sabich. If you want your falafel in a different format than you can also try the Falafa burger which is a patty-shaped version of the balls you know and love. There are also unique treats such as the Chocolate Hummus Puffs. Puffs of hummus filled with chocolate hummus, and then dusted with cinnamon. It’s a fun sweet end to the meal, and certainly different. It reminds us a little bit of halava.

It should be noted that FalafaLafa Nation is very gluten-free friendly so if you need allergy friendly options in Brooklyn this is a great choice.

As is written in neon lighting on the walls of FalafaLafa, In Hummus We Love.
