Today Chef Cari has two restaurants, two food trucks, and a catering company in Detroit, Michigan. Her story began in 2000, when Chef Cari Herskovitz Rosenbloom graduated from the Natural Gourmet Cookery Institute for Food and Healing in New York. Chef Cari founded Chef Cari Kosher Catering in 2003. Later came Wok in Cari Out (a carryout Restaurant) and Chef Cari Street Eats (food trucks). In July of 2022, Cari and Yisroel’s latest establishment opened, Ess in Co. Essen means to eat, and they’re inviting folks to Ess In with them at this fast-casual comfort and street food establishment.
