"Twenty Six" is out to prove that Kosher dining can be elevated. Promising a Kosher Culinary Experience, 26 starts was elegantly designed by renowned architect Tom Telesco. This family-friendly restaurant includes a main dining room, sushi bar, cocktail bar, patio dining and is available for Private Event buyouts. 26 is concentrating more on constantly changing specials, elevating the already loved menu, and working on a Set Menu Culinary Journey through History.
26 embraces its Latin-Fusion Molecular style for tapas dishes such as the “Bacon & Eggs”, toro (tuna) prosciutto, deviled quail eggs, crispy radish, honeydew gastrique, masago and scallion, a great way to start a meal. Pick from the sushi menu the Maduros con Coco, flounder, tempura, avocado, cream cheese roll topped with fried plantains, coconut flakes and sweet sauce. Complementing the sushi and tapas are a delicious choice of Entrees, utilizing a wide variety of uniquely seasoned fish. Stand-out items include the Bourbon Salmon Noodles, flambe salmon with a bourbon sauce, udon noodles, cherry tomato, bell peppers and sesame seeds or the Afghan Branzino Risotto, marinated pan seared branzino filet served with Afghan Saffron Risotto. Or perhaps try one of the ceviches like the El Nino “16” Ceviche, salmon, aji amarillo, lime juice mango and avocado.
26 now has one of the best Happy Hours in town and recently introduced the “After Hours Happy Hour”, featuring a different drink of the week. With the dessert menu being updated for 2018 it’s no wonder that 26 is a dream come true for co-owner, Miami Beach resident and successful real estate developer Morris Kaplan who after searching unsuccessfully for years for great dining in the area decided that South Florida deserved a restaurant which offered fine Kosher cuisine along with caring, attentive service. With son Joel Lindenfeld and nephew Daniel Friedman, this family owned place makes you feel right at home.
And for those of you familiar with Gematria you will know that the name of the restaurant 26 has important religious significance, which makes it far to say that the 26 mission is to provide divinely inspired food with a simply heavenly atmosphere for all.
