Cucina Modern Kitchen brings a fresh, upscale touch to Borough Park with a dairy menu that feels both creative and familiar. Opened by the team behind Mendelsohn’s Pizza in March of 2025, this standalone concept takes a refined approach to Mediterranean-Italian cooking, offering a polished experience that’s unlike anything else in the area.

From the moment you step inside, the space sets the tone. It's modern, clean, and warm, with thoughtful design elements that make you feel comfortable but still elegant. The menu follows suit. Each dish is presented with intention, but never feels like there are too many elements. Their personal sourdough pizzas, with soft, blistered crusts and carefully selected toppings, are a standout. One popular option features roasted vegetables and a sharp cheese blend, delivering layers of flavor with every bite.

Starters like the Cheese Cigar Quartet, delicately crisp and filled with a creamy blend, offer a satisfying introduction. The Beet Profiterole, stuffed with whipped ricotta and accented by walnut crumble, brings a surprising depth of texture and flavor. Main dishes keep customers coming back, like the wild mushroom risotto. It is creamy but still with a slight bite from the rice.

Salads and seafood options are equally well-executed. The Haloumi salad combines grilled cheeses, roasted beets, and fresh greens in a combination that’s refreshing. The seared tuna over lentils is another favorite, plated beautifully and cooked just right.
