About Maison Ostrow
For those in South Florida, one can either fly to Paris or visit the new Celebrity Chef Olivia Ostrow-led French restaurant, called Maison Ostrow. Meaning House of Ostrow, it opened in August of 2025 in the Bay Village area, just minutes from Surfside and Collins Avenue.
Olivia is a Paris-born chef who has been described having a chaotic energy, unique, and has always strived to be on her own island doing her own thing. She has been in the culinary industry for more than 30 years, heading up other kitchens and appearing in television such as news shows and even competing on Guy Fieri's Food Network show titled "Grocery Games."
Chef Olivia also contributes to Kismet magazine, where her articles offer readers a glimpse into her creative process, providing insights into her cooking philosophy and favorite ingredients, and gives tips for aspiring chefs. Olivia's ability to articulate her culinary vision has earned her a loyal following, establishing her as a trusted authority in the food industry.
Chef Olivia herself has described this new venture as "Bigger, bolder, and designed to transport you." Every element of the restaurant channels her distinct ideas to combine influences from France, Italy, Greece, and more.
The menu is highlighted with the best and freshest ingredients. Some of the signatures like the Ora King Salmon Carpaccio and their Homemade Pastas and Cod Beignets exemplify the freshness you come to expect from Maison Ostrow. The Maison Ostrow Chicken & Lamb Paupiette come as a welcome entree to enjoy toward the end of the meal. Coming on Thursday also nets you some day-of only specials in the Bouillabaisse and Hachis Parmentier.
The inside of the restaurant brings you a look into the life of Chef Olivia, with plenty of her favorite art works hanging on full display. It makes you get to know the chef on a little bit more of a personal level, and exemplifies the "home of Ostrow" environment that the name of the restaurant suggests.
