About The Flame SUMMER ONLY
Back before 2018, Monticello needed a casual and fast style meat restaurant. That's when the FLAME 🔥 was lit. Enter brothers, Shlomie and Sruli Goldenberg, who had a dream to serve the bungalow family crowd. They opened The Flame, a family style restaurant in July of 2018.
This full service Chinese/American restaurant is self-serve and catering orders take 15 minutes or less. But don’t let the speed fool you; this isn’t fast food. Everything is made to order and made with the same level of care and freshness you'd expect from the most high-end of steakhouses. Take the French Fries, for example. Some places may just have them already prepared or even frozen. But at The Flame, they are made fresh with hand cut potatoes.
Before it was The Flame, the location was a mechanic shop with garages and pitched floors for oil drainage. So when it was converted to a restaurant, the garage doors were replaced with huge window bays. The order counter is massive, and while the counters have kiosks, they are set up near the employees in case customers have questions while ordering. The indoor restaurant seats 50 or so, and there is also a side patio which seats 60.
A popular appetizer is the Pulled Brisket Taters which can also be enjoyed by the Gluten Free crowd. And for those looking a for something spicy in their appetizer, the Buffalo Poppers are a go-to.
With a Chinese/American menu, there are options for whatever Fleish food you might want. With American style sandwiches like the Texas Pastrami or Chinese dishes like their Crispy Shredded Beef, everyone who comes in is sure to leave fed and satisfied.
The menu also features vegetarian options and a kid’s menu, not to mention a special Thursday night menu with cholent, kugel, yaptchik, kishka, and even a combo and a platter with the works. Speaking of platters, serve a table with the rack of ribs or southern fried chicken platter. And don’t forget a drink, such as one of the home brewed beverages, or have fun and choose from 60 different flavors from their self serving coke machine.
Flame is all about fun, food and family.
