BINGO Wholesale Eyes Expansion with New Locations in Monroe and Hollywood
BINGO Wholesale, the popular kosher discount superstore, is making major moves with two new locations in the works: one in Monroe, New York, and another in Hollywood, Florida.
The Monroe location is slated for the Woodbury Centre area, with local reports indicating it will be taking over the former Staples space on Route 32. The Village of Woodbury Planning Board has greenlit the project, and it is now moving on to a public hearing currently set for June 3. The store would convert approximately 57,000 square feet of existing retail space into a full wholesale supermarket, including a new interior mezzanine and updated exterior elements. If approved, it is expected to become a major shopping destination for the kosher families of Kiryas Joel and the surrounding communities.
In Florida, BINGO has purchased a large property in the Hollywood–Dania Beach area at 5650 Anglers Ave., near Stirling Road and Interstate 95. The roughly 8-acre site, which previously housed a private Budweiser distributor, spans over 76,000 square feet of building space on a lot of nearly 345,000 square feet. Extensive renovations are expected before the store can open, so this one is still a ways off.
When both locations open, they will mark the 5th and 6th BINGO stores. The chain currently operates out of Brooklyn, Lakewood, Monsey, and Inwood. Often dubbed the “Kosher Costco,” BINGO is known for its discount pricing model and one-stop-shop experience, offering everything from fresh produce, an in-house butcher, and a fish counter to bulk dry goods, housewares, and toys.
BINGO Wholesale is the American version of the Israeli supermarket chain Osher Ad, and has built a devoted following in New York’s Jewish communities since its launch. With this latest expansion, it’s clear the brand has no plans of slowing down.
