About Bison & Bourbon

As soon as you approach Bison and Bourbon, you know you’re somewhere unique. Cobblestone, exposed brick, and bold industrial workshops are prominent in the area just off the Gowanus Expressway - Bison & Bourbon's street entrance is no different. Yet a Mediterranean style courtyard is visible from the street, complete with trees, and at all times of year there are twinkling lights in the outdoor dining area, before the glass-fronted indoor space. Still unspoiled by mainstream hipster intrusion, the neighborhood—and the new space—fills an unsated void in the Jewish world: unaffected casual yet smartly sophisticated dining and lounging.

At Bison and Bourbon, you’re free to relax and have a good time. They have a great cocktail menu made with fresh herbs from their rooftop garden, so you don’t have to go to separate places for your bar chill and kosher food. It’s all in one gorgeous destination, with multiple spaces to stretch out. Seat yourself at a table repurposed from 1920s wood found on location, or relax at the lounge loft or indoor-outdoor bar. Their courtyard seats 100, and a separate party area upstairs seats 50-70 people. With a total of 250 seats spread throughout the restaurant, you'll enjoy yourself wherever you sit.

And once seated, here comes the food! Lead by Chef Lior Hachmon, this is a steakhouse with all your favorites and then some. Whet your appetite with an assortment of starters - their Beef Tartare is complimented by avocado mousse and housemade potato chips, and their Chicken Wings come in a perfectly sweet sauce; have breakfast for dinner with their Toasted Chicken Waffles with dijon mustard, pickled red onions, pecans, fried bacon, arugula, pickles, and glazed maple & sweet sauce.

Perfect steaks are served on rustic wooden boards - matching the decor perfectly. They also have seafood options, like their Seared Sesame-Crusted Salmon. And you have to try their indulgent meat flatbreads, baked on handmade dough. Pulled Brisket Flatbread is especially popular - and if meat between two breads is more your thing, then their Lamb Sliders are served on housemade buns as well.

The Bison & Bourbon mixologists will whip you up a classic drink at their bar - and wow you with seasonal and innovative concoctions. The Watermelon Mojito is one of the newest additions to the menu; other signature cocktails include their Passionfruit Mojito, Spicy Margarita, Cucumber Cool, and their Bourbon Cranberry Mule.

With a top-notch staff and innovative features we haven’t yet seen in the kosher world, this is a new experience you won’t want to miss!
