About Kasbah Grill
The Kasbah Grill story begins in New York City in the 1980s. The Dery brothers were born in Morocco and raised in Israel, where they were greatly influenced by Middle Eastern cuisine. Brother David Dery eventually made his way to Manhattan, where he opened his first kosher restaurant. His menu of Middle Eastern delicacies quickly caught the attention of both the Jewish and secular communities of the city.
In 2026, they officially welcomed a new Executive Chef to the team. Moshe Kramer brings 25 years of experience spanning France, Switzerland, Spain, and the United States. Having graduated from Le Cordon Blue Culinary School and being trained in French culinary techniques, his passion and creativity have brought exciting new flavors to the Upper West Side.
Kasbah aims to make every dining experience fun and memorable. That's why they offer promotions like a free dessert for any customer who shares a Dvar Torah at the table.
They have crafted a deliciously tempting menu featuring traditional American favorites alongside kosher Middle Eastern specialties. Offerings range from a classic deli pastrami sandwich and homemade hummus served with crisp pita bread and a sizzling King Moshiach Steak. Fans return again and again for beloved signature dishes like the Brazilian Butcher's Cut, handmade beef cigars, and the Kufta spicy burger, just to name a few.
Brick walls, antique chandeliers, and rustic finished woods transform Kasbah into a classic kosher steakhouse in NYC, ideal for couples, friends, reunions, family celebrations, and large group events.
