About Jeffrey’s Bakery & Restaurant
Jeffrey's Bakery has been a staple in Panama City for over a decade, offering a cafe experience with comfort in mind. The restaurant and bakery, located in the Punta Pacifica area, serves not just as a gathering spot for locals, but also a must stop for tourists.
Chef-owner Jeffrey Paul, together with his wife Betty, opened the self titled bakery in 2013. After studying culinary arts in New Jersey and cooking at events like the Grand Opening of the Trump Plaza Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City, Jeffrey travelled around. After hitting Venezuala and Switzerland (just to name a couple), he settled on Panama and decided to pave the way there.
Right when you walk into Jeffrey's, you feel the energy of the space. It's bright and welcoming, and it is easy to flow from a morning coffee meeting to leisurely lunches. The open cases of the bakery and the steady service makes everything modern and inviting.
The menu is where that versatility and flow shows. When you come in the morning, a selection of different omelets are available to order, and are frequent. These come in addition to the different pastries that Jeffrey's is known for, like their croissants and world famous biscottis.
Before you know it, it's time for lunch, where their Sourdough Toast with Smoked Salmon shines. As the day progresses, the Super Nachos and Tacos come out and steal the show.
That doesn't even put a dent in all the things that Jeffrey's has to offer. The big favorites that come to mind are the Crispy Fish Burger, and The Big Club House Sandwich, so frequently ordered and liked that they have their own section on the menu.
Not a fish fan? No problem. With classic pastas like their Penne Rose and Mac and Cheese, you will find one you like. And of course, there is the pizza, with choices ranging from classic or topped with olives, vegetables, sauces, whatever your heart may deisre.
At the core of the experience is an unwavering focus on ingredients. Pastries are prepared fresh daily. The result is a restaurant that fits in perfectly in the Panama culture.
