A new player has entered the Catskills scene. First opening the summer of 2025 as the sister restaurant to the next door Rock Bistro, the same owners bring you SASSO Restaurant & Cafe in Rock Hill, NY (exit 114 off Route 17).

One look at the menu tells you all you need about the food: dairy, but elevated. The appetizers are there to be enjoyed with others, such as the Spinach Wontons and Truffle Crostini coming with bite sized sharing pieces.

When you get to the entrees, recommended are the Tuna Steak and the Salmon Delights, already huge hits among diners.

Of course high-end dairy dining doesn't end with fish. With classics like Penne Ala Vodka and Fettucini Alfredo, and more unique takes like their Velvety Spinaci Pasta, you can eat your meal feeling like you're in Italy.

The environment in Sasso blends the ambiance of a high end restaurant with the comfort of your own dining room with soft blue tones.
